144 Pearl River student-athletes earn 2024-2025 MACCC All-Academic recognition
July 02, 2025POPLARVILLE, Miss. – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference recognized 144 Pearl River student-athletes for earning Distinguished or All-State academic recognition. Student-athletes with a GPA 3.8 or higher earn Distinguished honors, and those with a GPA between 3.25 and 3.79 receive All-State distinction. Forty-five Wildcats were recognized with Distinguished honors and 99 with All-State honors. -
2 PRCC programs named MACCC Academic Team of the Year; 11 earn 3.0 or better
July 01, 2025POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference recently announced its Academic Teams of the Year, and a pair of Pearl River programs earned the distinction. Men's basketball won the award by finishing the year with a 3.22 GPA and Rodeo took home the award for a second year in a row with a 3.45 GPA. -
Pearl River's Michael Avalon tabbed MACCC/Region 23 Coach of the Year

Avalon has been named MACCC Coach of the Year, Region 23 Coach of the Year, and ABCA/ATEC Gulf Co-Coach of the Year. -
Pearl River's Jacob Keys named ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glover

Pearl River baseball sets program record with 5 All-America selections
June 12, 2025POPLARVILLE, Miss. — A record-setting 53-win season and a National Runner-up finish got a little bit sweeter Thursday afternoon as the Pearl River baseball team took home an incredible five NJCAA All-America awards. Under the lights at a packed Dub Herring Park Wednesday night, the Wildcats got their revenge, throttling the No. 7 Bobcats 9-1 in game one and taking a 3-2 thriller in the nightcap for a sweep. -
