POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Pearl River softball program has announced its slate of summer camps and team events, featuring opportunities for youth leagues, travel ball teams and high school programs throughout the summer at Wildcat Stadium.
The Wildcats will host 10U and 12U summer leagues June 2-18 on the Pearl River campus. The 12U league will take place on Tuesday nights, while the 10U league will be held on Thursday nights.
Each league is limited to six teams and costs $350 per team with a four-game guarantee. Teams will compete on Pearl River's collegiate field over a three-week span against other travel organizations. Umpire fees are $45 at the plate. All-Tournament Team awards will be presented at the conclusion of league play.
Pearl River also will host an Overnight Team Camp June 23-25. The camp is limited to six teams and includes seven meals, team shirts, a team-building book, banquet, guest speaker and a three-game guarantee.
A One-Day Team Camp will be offered July 20-24 with two teams accepted per day. Teams may select their preferred date. The cost is $25 per player and includes a camp shirt. Participants will take part in a morning practice directed by the Pearl River coaching staff before playing a seven-inning game in the afternoon.
The Wildcats also will hold Travel Team Exposure Games May 29-30. The event is limited to eight teams and carries a $150 entry fee. Teams will pay $85 at the plate for umpires.
