No. 2 Pearl River's Teegan DeWitt tabbed MACCC Pitcher of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference released its weekly awards Tuesday, and No. 2 Pearl River softball saw Teegan DeWitt (Pass Christian; Hancock) recognized as the Pitcher of the Week.

DeWitt is PRCC's second Player of the Week award winner with Natalee Eaves (Louisville; Choctaw) taking home the award on Feb. 10.

DeWitt was dominant out of the bullpen, earning three wins in relief during a perfect week for the Wildcats. The Pass Christian native tossed eight innings, allowing just two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out 10. She posted a 1.75 ERA for the week and repeatedly entered in high-leverage moments to shut the door.

On the season, DeWitt has been a reliable arm in the Wildcats' pitching staff. She owns a 5-1 record across 33.2 innings pitched with a 2.50 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP. She has struck out 51 batters.
