Pearl River's Emmaleigh Theriot named NFCA/Rawlings Gold Glover

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the Rawlings Gold Glove award selections Wednesday afternoon, and Pearl River softball's Emmaleigh Theriot (Prairieville, La.; St. Amant) snatched the award.

Theriot is the first player in program history to earn a Gold Glove award.

"Emmaleigh was a game changer for us in left field," head coach Christie Meeks said. "She is quiet, confident and consistent. She did so many great things for us this year. For her to get this award is such an amazing honor. I couldn't be more proud of her."

The left fielder started all 53 games for the Wildcats in 2025 and was nearly perfect in the field. Across 55 total chances, Theriot made just one error, tallying one outfield assist and one double play.

Theriot was also impressive with the bat in her freshman campaign. While holding down the two-hole, Theriot held a .285 batting average and a .392 on-base percentage. She collected 45 hits, 41 runs, 26 walks and 25 RBIs. Additionally, she stole 41 bases, putting her in second place in PRCC's single-season stolen base records.
