POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference announced its weekly awards Tuesday morning and No. 14 Pearl River women's soccer's Alesha Gale (Rotherham, England) was named the Offensive Player of the Week.
Gale wreaked havoc for the Wildcats across two matches, bagging an unbelievable six goals. Pearl River started the week against Copiah-Lincoln. Although the match was scoreless through 50 minutes, Gale went on to score four goals in the final 40 minutes of the match to single-handedly beat the Wolves 4-0. Later in the week, PRCC went to East Mississippi and Gale's goal-scoring barrage continued. She went on to score two more goals to cap off the fantastic week.
Gale has been one of the top goal-scoring threats in the MACCC in her freshman season and currently sits third in goals scored with 12. She's also tacked on six assists on the year and is fifth in the MACCC in the category.

The Wildcats get back to action Tuesday night against Hinds. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
