POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River's Ethan Hodby (Leicester, England) and Shande James (Trench Town, Jamaica; Clarendon College) have been named to the All-Region XXIII squad.

Hodby and James' recognition comes on the heels of John Bowman (Bay St. Louis; Bay), Dylan Picchi (Long Beach), Cooper Grafe (Kiln; Hancock) and Piper MacNeil (Sheffield, England) earning All-MACJC honors.

James' proved to be Swiss Army Knife for PRCC coach Drew Gallant. Not only did the Jamaican star as a defensive midfielder but he played a large role in the attack. James finished his freshman campaign with a team-high eight goals and also added three assists for 19 points.

Hodby's impact may not jump out from the stat sheet, but the former Leicester City Academy product was virtually irreplaceable for the MACJC South Division champions. Originally expected to factor into the attack but found a home as a defensive midfielder.

Hodby was effective at thwarting the opposition's buildup and distributing the ball out of the back to get the Wildcats in on the attack. He also netted two goals and added an assist.
