POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Both Pearl River soccer teams have had phenomenal seasons and received more good news recently when they had eight players selected to the MACJC All-Star matches.
PRCC Men
Representing the men's team will be forward Caleb Burke (Ocean Springs), midfielder Cooper Grafe (Kiln; Hancock), forward Kealan Baggett (Ocean Springs) and midfielder Ethan Hodby (Leicester, England; Leicester City Academy).
Burke has helped lead the explosive Wildcat offense this year and is second on the team in goals with six and also has six assists.
Grafe is tied for second on the team for assists with two.
Baggett has scored three goals for the team while assisting two.
Hodby has scored a goal and assisted on another.
PRCC Women
Representing the women's team will be forward Maddie Beets (Long Beach), midfielder Kaitlyn Snyder (Leakesville; Greene County), forward Yayira "Zigi" Ahortor (Accra, Ghana; Wesley) and forward Victoria Stewart (Pearl River, La. ; Pearl River).
Beets has been a large reason for the offensive outbreak the team has had as she is tied for the team lead in goals with seven.
Snyder has scored a goal and helped establish a dominant defensive front for the team.
Ahortor has scored five goals and assisted on four for the women's team.
Stewart has four goals and two assists for the Wildcats.
UP NEXT
The Wildcats have a busy week ahead as they host Jones College Tuesday. The women's game starts at 5 p.m and the men's game start at 7 p.m.
The Wildcats then hit the road to take on Southwest Saturday.
The women's game starts at 1 p.m. while the men's game starts at 3 p.m.
