PRCC's Jeremiah Cochran wins day one of Ranger Classic, Wildcats finish tied for 8th

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. — Pearl River men's golf's Jeremiah Cochran (Gautier; Covenant Christian Academy) put on a show at the Ranger Classic, winning day one with a score of 1-under and finishing day two 10-over to take 10th place.

The Wilcats finished tied for eighth overall, shooting 69-over as a team. 

Cochran led the way with his 10-over finish, followed by Seth Tubb (Hattiesburg; Presbyterian Christian), who shot 14-over. Tubb was 3-over in the opening round and 11-over in the second.

Riley Barnett (Lakeville, Minn.; Lakeville South) and Preston Leggett (Laurel; West Jones) tied for 46th place — each shooting 23-over. Barnett shot 15-over in round one and improved to 8-over in round two. Leggett was 12-over in the first round and 11-over in the second round.

Lake Fincher (Biloxi; St. Martin) ended the tournament in 60th place with a score of 31-over. He had scores of 15-over and 18-over. Bo Ashley (Purvis) competed as an individual, finishing in 53rd place with a score of 25-over. He shot 14-over and 11-over, respectively.
