BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. — Pearl River Community College held its fifth annual Athletics Hall of Fame golf tournament and banquet Friday, and it was the college's biggest yet.
The event, which Keith's Superstores sponsored, started with a two-flight golf tournament at The Bridges Golf Club and closed with PRCC's most-attended banquet yet at Hollywood Casino & Resort.
"The 2025 Hall of Fame celebration was once again a night to remember," Director of Athletics Michael Avalon said. "From our largest-ever golf tournament to a record-breaking banquet crowd, it was a truly special evening. Most importantly, it was a night to honor and celebrate the inductees and their familes — memories that will last a lifetime."
The Wildcats hosted two golf flights for the first time since the Hall of Fame Golf Tournament began, bringing in an incredible 36 teams to compete in the four-man scramble. The first flight began at 8 a.m. and was followed by a 1 p.m. flight.
The day came to a close with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The 2025 class included football and men's basketball's Larry Brackins, men's soccer's Stephen Kulikowski, women's basketball's Polly Kirkland LeVert and football's Stevie Moody. Pearl River's Spirit of a Wildcat award recipient was Eric "Poncho" James — Pearl River's first-ever mascot.
Additionally, PRCC recognized the 1994-95 Region 23 Champion women's basketball team, the 1994-95 MACJC/Region 23 Champion men's golf team and the 2004 MACJC and National Champion football team. The 2025 National Champions were honored by the college. Rodeo's Kate Eiland (Kentwood, La.) was recognized for her College National Finals Rodeo Breakaway Roping Championship and Pearl River Cheer was recognized for winning the UCA All-Girl Game Day Championship.
